Ballina has a mild subtropical climate, with an average annual daily temperature of 23.3 degrees Celsius (74 F°). The warmest summer month is January with an average daily temperature of 27.1 degrees Celsius (81F°), whereas the coldest month, July, has a mild daily temperature of 18.5 degrees (65F°) with relatively cool nights (9.7 C°/ 49 F°). The hottest recorded temperature of 40.7°C (105 F°) was recorded in the month of November and the lowest recorded temperature was recorded in July at 2.7°C (37 F°)
Relative humidity ranges from a high of 81 per cent in February to a low of 63 per cent in September. Rainfall is strongly seasonal with approximately 60 per cent of the annual average rainfall (of 1860.9mm) falling in the Months of January to May. March is traditionally the wettest month with 283.7mm and September the driest with 52.4mm.
